Psychiatric Ward Antique Window Pane 1940s
 
I purchased this from an antique dealer who had numerous window panes he 
took possession of during a demolition of a project in PA where he lived.
He had door glass panels, transom panels and window panels all in the same
format and color.
  
He said they all came from Byberry Psychiatric Hospital in Philadelphia PA.
I do not have any documentation supporting this.
 
The glass background is black and has gold lettering. Very nice slate of thick glass.
The glass panel itself measures approximately 33" x 3.75"
The black frame measures approximately 40" x 7.75".
 
The frame has some issues with the corners being filled in with corking (see photos).
Back of frame has carboard piece held with red tape securing the window pane in the frame.
Overall a very cool historical looking item from years past.
